My 10 Favorite Bible Verses (That Have Impacted My Life)

Whenever we read the Word, we're inspired, encouraged, corrected and above all made better. And everyone receives as God, graciously, gives him/her. It's hard to point out the best verses, since they are many and all of God's word has a purpose to fulfill. But I've chosen from the many verses that have made a greater impact in my life and present them here. It's my sincere hope that you'll be blessed too!

 Let's do the countdown:

#1. Romans 8:1

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus..."

Hallelujah! Nothing really fills my heart with joy like the realization that I'm free and justified, despite those "things" I've done! Good Lord!

#2. Romans 8:38,39

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life... nor things present, nor things to come...shall be able to separate us from the love of God..."

Not only had he loved me, but also promised that nothing can separate us, He'll be there; all the time! What a friend I have in Jesus!

#3. 2 Kings 6:16

"...Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them."

...and this has truly  been my shield and source of strength in those directionless and dark moments; full of fear and nothing seems to work.

#4. Revelation 5:13

"... Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever."

A moment of worship; the joy in raising our hands in total surrender to Him, the owner, and let Him know that we truly acknowledge that He alone is God!

#5. John 3:16

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son..."

That Sunday school memory verse! I being the world, that's how much He loved me!

#6. Psalms 111:10

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments..."

You can agree with me, that's paramount for a young person, in that we have a lot to choose from.

#7. Acts 7:55

Stephen "saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,"

All over the Bible we're told of Jesus sitting on the right hand of God. But here, he Stood! I like meditating on what it was like for Stephen - the comparison between what he was seeing and what them around him were seeing.

#8. 2 Corinthians 5:21

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him"

This verse will make a lot of sense if you understood the magnitude of the impact on sin on a soul and how the Holy God views it. Once He could not look at me but now He can because Jesus has taken away my sin! Cleansed by His blood.

#9. Job 38:4

"Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding."

The 38th though the 41st Chapter of Job! You can't stop to be amazed of the mighty power of God! May He do in our lives whatever pleases Him,  for all, including us, belong to Him.

#10. Proverbs 26:12

"Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him."

That's well explained.

The word of the Lord is our hope. Strength. Food. Life. Direction. everything - we ever needed. I exhort you to continue drinking as even we wait patiently for the fulfillment of the blessed hope.
